Note: custom values are used exactly as entered. The viewer does not know whether they describe the crate’s interior or exterior. When you launch the camera with custom dimensions, we log the dimensions, shape, view and date to help identify popular sizes; the log contains no name or IP address.

How to check your dog’s space
- Choose a crate, open the camera view, and place the frame on clear floor. On iPhone, close the camera view before changing crate size, then reopen it.
- Have your dog walk or settle inside the outline. Try comfortable natural poses—standing, sitting or lying down—without pressing them against the frame.
- Walk around and inspect from the side and above. Look for the nose, tail, back or sides reaching beyond the outline. Save pictures from more than one angle to review or share.
- The camera can mistake your dog or another object for the floor, making the crate base jump upward. If it lifts, move the frame back to clear floor. Check from low down that its base rests on the real floor before your dog enters.
How to check a car or doorway
- Choose a crate and the exterior view, then open it in the camera. Place the shell beside the car or doorway on the surface where the crate would rest.
- Move around the view and inspect the crate as it approaches and passes through the opening, then check the space inside the boot or vehicle. Leave visible clearance around it.
- Save pictures of the crate partly through the opening and positioned inside. Compare with a tape measure; the AR view cannot confirm that the real crate clears the opening.
Use the outline as a visual check. It does not detect contact or prove a fit. If the frame is floating, reposition it on clear floor before taking pictures. Green is lower and blue is higher in the frame; neither colour indicates fit. Crate outlines are simplified. PP60 interior dimensions are estimated; published dimensions for other crates can vary by version. Confirm the actual crate’s interior before travel.
Use the shell as a visual clearance guide. Its tapered shape reaches the listed exterior dimensions, but the exact curves are illustrative. AR placement can shift, and the camera cannot detect contact with a doorway, hatch or seat. Check clearances with a tape measure and allow room to turn and lift the real crate.
Where the sizes come from
P200–P700 use Petmate’s interior dimensions, with the supplied extension heights for P500E and P700E. BB and PP90/PP100 interiors use the published BB and PP size listings. Magnum uses Transcontinental Pet Movers’ dimensions. PP60 is an estimate from its exterior size because a matching interior specification was not available.
